People's Bible Notes for 1 Peter 2:7

1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe. The prophecy is now applied. [He is] precious to believers because they enjoy the promise embraced in "he that believeth on him shall not be confounded". (1Pe 2:6). But unto them which be disobedient. Those who do not believe and hence, disobey; to these he is the stone which the builders rejected, which is spoken of in Ps 118:22. See also Mt 21:42 Ac 4:11. The same is made the head of the corner. Peter quotes this passage from the Old Testament and applies it with great force (Ac 4:11). The rejected Savior had become the Head of God's spiritual temple.

This Verse is so reassuring. Being Dead to our sins simply means by the holy spirit power living in us we no longer have a desire to sin. Jesus ambitions and desires are all we crave and want. How amazing Jesus is and how sufficient his grace is.

Blessed are those of the body of Christ, his Church. Our God, the Holy One of Israel our Savior, is risen, He LIVES! Wisdom of Solomon 3:1 But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and there shall no torment touch them. Luke 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him. Romans 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more death hath no more dominion over him.

Heavenly Father, make us to walk in humility, righteousness and ever-increasing faith, that we may serve you in truth and charity through Christ Jesus our LORD who is most blessed for ever and ever! 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Iasiah 53.5 We are already healed by the stripes of Jesus. Our job now is to believe Jesus that he is the Son of the Living God who shed his blood to us so that all of us may have life in abundance. Put God first into your life and all things that you need will be added. Without God and meditating his words we cant do nothing. Thanks to the Blood of Jesus coz by his blood we are pardon and forgivn
