Wesley's Notes for 1 Peter 1:24

1:24 All flesh - Every human creature is transient and withering as grass. And all the glory of it - His wisdom, strength, wealth, righteousness. As the flower - The most short - lived part of it. The grass - That is, man. The flower - That is, his glory. Is fallen off - As it were, while we are speaking. #Isaiah 40:6|, &c.

People's Bible Notes for 1 Peter 1:24

1Pe 1:24 All flesh [is] as grass. See Isa 40:6. God's word lives forever, but the flesh is as evanescent as the grass. And all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The fleshly life, like the grass, is soon felled by death, but a birth from the living and eternal word is a birth to eternal life.

Their are many paths to understanding the Journey of life as there are many verses in Scripture to the understanding of the word of God; however the first step does not begin in forsaking.Seek, knock, ask and the door shall be opened unto you; for those who seek God so shall they find him through Christ Our Lord and Savior the Good Shepherd.

Verse 16 say we must be holy because God is holy. We need to imitate Him to the best of our ability.

If words I read or heard embedded in my spirit and change my inner and outer life then it is incorruptible. But if words are in my emotion and mind used for preaching, sharing, praying, worshipping, counseling with no or little change in my life, then it is corruptible. Please judge ourselves.Incorruptible words soften our spirit whereas corruptible words harden spirit. In that case better NOT to read.
