David Rax's comment on 1/10/2016, 2:22am...

god is so wounderfull that he gave us his rules or commandments in order for us to be saved and enter the kingdom of god.he is a very wounderful.

Addis's comment on 12/10/2015, 6:18am...

I believe if we have a real fellowship with God the father and Jesus, we would want to live righteous because we want to sin no more. So, our sinfull nature would make us continue to sin but we are forgiven of all past, present and future sins and we just have to have real repentance each time we sin. Our fellowhip with God will makevus hate to sin.

Theresa Patterson's comment on 11/13/2015, 7:54am...

If we are in the light there is peace, truth and love and joy in the light and we have fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. That is something Iam longing for.

Betty Clapper's comment on 10/20/2015, 10:01pm...

God is the way and the truth,

Adelani solomon's comment about verse 9 on 9/30/2015, 3:57pm...

jesus died for our future sins.he died wen those living now were nt yet born.confessing ones sin means humility n an agreement wt christ provision,as all our sins are taken care for.1john2:1-2

Theresa Kippers's comment on 9/18/2015, 8:08pm...

Galatians 6 chapter will explain this very well

Mine''s comment on 9/14/2015, 12:10am...

God sent his Son to save us from sin. He gave his Son for the sins of the world. Jesus did not die in vain. Sin separated us form God. Sin is every evil thing imaginable. God hates sin. The payment for sin is death. But Jesus laid down His Life for His Friends. God by His mercy and His love for us sent Jesus. Jesus came to do the Father's will. Should we continue in sin, knowing that Jesus died once and dyes no more? But if we sin, God is just to forgive us of our sin. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. will heal them The wages of sin is death. the payment of sin is death We must walk according to our calling that God has set before us. We must finish the race. Not looking back, but looking forward unto Jesus the prize that is set before us.

Bonyah Isaac's comment about verse 9 on 8/21/2015, 8:52pm...

Jesus died once and for all men the blood atone for the sins of the world and bring them into the body of Christ through repentance, confession and baptism. Acts 2:38 . Being in the body of Christ doesnt grant someone autmatic salvation If all our sins namely past, present and future were forgiven when we became part of the body, why then should we try to live a holy life? Sin is the transgression of Law,so if all sins had been forgiven on the day we became part of Christ body, why then should we continue to obey His Laws?? Hebrew 5:8 states that "Jesus is the source of eternal salvation for all who OBEY him" Why shoul I then Obey if all my sins past, present and future had been forgiven?? The verse clearly shows that we can sin and hence must confess our sins for the blood to atone for us. Psalm 32:3 5 When one fail to acknowledge and confess his sins, then the blood doesn't work for him This is the one reason why Jesus is seated at God's right hand,to intercede on our behalf when we sin through His blood. Rom.8:34 .

John madden's comment about verse 5 on 8/17/2015, 7:02am...

Walking in the light is following christ.walking in the dark is folliwing sin.if we are walking in liveing in the light we will be in communion with god and then we are cleansed from all sin .liveing in darkness is walking with out god he is light and dwells not in the dark

John madden's comment about verse 5 on 7/20/2015, 1:11pm...

This is the message it from Him.god is in the light he is holy .if we want to have communion with him we must walk in the light..follow him not sin

John madden's comment about verse 6 on 7/20/2015, 1:08pm...

If were in the dark guess who ant thier..?..god..he is light. He dont have communion with darkness ..this is not class 101..but basic truth Darkness is fellowship with evil

Esther's comment on 7/07/2015, 1:36am...

I really love that quote

Dan's comment on 7/05/2015, 5:50pm...

verse 3 says they have fellowship with the father and his son Jesus Christ and their desire is that we may also have that same fellowship with them. verse 5 says God is Light and in him is no Darkness at all in 3:23 your given two commandments one is to believe on the name of his son Jesus Christ and 2 is to love one another as he gave commandment verse 3:24 says that if you keep these commandments then God who is light will dwell in you and you will dwell in him if you walk in darkness you are not keeping his commandments then he there for does not dwell in you and you have no fellowship with him and are a liar 2 :22 says Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ he is anti Christ that denies the father and the son then you have no fellowship with god and are walking in darkness because god does not dwell in you 1:7 says that if you walk in the the light meaning you keep his commandments then he dwells in you and you have fellowship with him and his son you might have missed that it says fellowship one with another

John madden's comment about verse 6 on 7/02/2015, 7:44pm...

We cant abide in darkness if we are God's children because in him is no darkness at all. If we say dont live in the lite were living in darkness.

Dd's comment on 6/19/2015, 1:40pm...

Is God able to forgive all my unrighteousness? If someone gets an unbiblical divorce, and is remarried is God able to forgive this sin?

Steve's comment about verse 9 on 6/18/2015, 4:18pm...

I believe that we must confess all our sins to God. I don 't believe that this falls under works. I believe this is out of love for what Christ has done for us on the cross and to repent of our sins which is to turn from sin and to turn to God. This is not works this is choice. We do this out of conviction of our sin because God is in us.

Mario's comment on 6/13/2015, 1:30pm...

If this scripture was for believers why does verse 8 say " If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. " If it was to believers, they would not say I have no sin and they would know that they were sinners, now they are not. Jesus took our sins before the foundations of the earth. If the old testament the Israelite had to ask forgiveness their sins once a year, why would Jesus a better sacrifice, done it once and for all. So why must we ask forgiveness every day, every month, every year, Does this mean that we do not believe that Jesus did completely take our sins, this means unbelief, so then this means that you have no salvation if you do NOT believe that Jesus is our savior. Jesus is coming back for hid bride not to deal with sin. Jesus dealt with sin once and for all. Believe and thank him and glorify him, forever and ever.

Lilian's comment on 6/01/2015, 8:17am...

God is pure. We are already cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. He took all of our sins, curse, diseases and pain to the cross . We are now saved because of his love, mercy and grace. Thanks to the blood of Jesus that shed for us, Thanks to his Resurrection, his Ascencion and thank you for sending us the Holy Spirit to be with us all the time. Amen

Roland Nahereza's comment on 5/29/2015, 2:25am...

The Blood of His,cleansed and still cleanses of all sin each day

Roland Nahereza's comment about verse 8 on 5/29/2015, 2:20am...

TRUE!! If we ever say we have no sin, then we should ask ourselves why our LORD Jesus taught His disciples in Mathew 6:12 to always ask for forgiveness in The Lord 's prayer..

John madden's comment about verse 7 on 5/24/2015, 9:51pm...

Walking is liveing.if were liveing in the light then the results are fellowship.and cleansed by his blood .liveing in the darkness neither one of these benifits are applied to us we must live in the light in god thier is no darkness at all

ANGELA's comment on 5/19/2015, 9:45pm...

THE BLOOD THAT CLEANSES US FROM ALL OUR SIN!!!THE BLOOD OF THE ONLY SACRIFICE THAT WAS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO WAS AWAY OUR SINS..BUT WE MUST WATCH WHO WE WALK WITH ,IF WE STAY WITH THE WRONG CROWD THEY CAN PULL THE LIFE AND JOY RIGHT OUT OF YOU.ONCE GOD GIVES US THE KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH WE MUST TRY TO WALK IN IT..FOR US TO WILLFUL SIN AFTER WE HAVE RECEIVED THE KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH THERE REMAINETH NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS...BUT GOD IS A FORGIVING GOD ...I PRAY THAT GOD WILL ENLIGHTEN OUR EYES AND OUR HEARTS TO RECEIVE THE TRUTH..

Ray's comment about verse 4 on 5/19/2015, 12:58pm...

It depends where you are looking for your Joy? God tells us to be angry and sin not. Anger is part of the grieving process as long as you don 't get stuck there. Ultimately our Joy should come from God...The writer of 1 John is telling us he wrote this epistle to tell us how to get that Joy verse 4...I 'm reminded of Nehemiah 8:10 The Joy of the Lord is our strength...We need to read all 5 of the epistles of John to find out how to obtain and KEEP our joy.
