If you read that verse in the context of the entire chapter you will find that Paul is addressing the congregation about doing things in a orderly manner and if read even more carefully you will see that Paul even tells 'THE MEN TO BE SILENT' to talk one at a time. This verse relates to women who were married in the first place, so does that mean unmarried women can speak. Ridiculous. So Paul was addressing the fact of women who chat to much while the person at the front is speaking and if they are speaking because of curious intentions then to ask there husbands at home. PS Not every woman has a husband now do they. Read the entire chapter! and re-read it and re-read it and pray for Gods wisdom while doing it.

Women can preach in churches. i mean if men are starting to step down then who is there to fill their shoes?

Why will we not listen to what Paul teaches us, and not hold to his word which has come from the lord, I pray that God has mercy on us all; women cannot teach in the church, but they can sing and praise the lord in the church!

We all should speak where the bible speaks and be silent where it is silent.

If there are too quiet why do we have choirs filled with women singing loudest in churches and how did Jesus treat women? Again how can we live in the world without women?

this verse and many others show me how far we have strayed away from the teachings of the bible regardless of the times or the cultures the way the church is being ran is moving away from sound doctrine Gods word is not at question but we are

I believe it is proof that a woman is not allowed by God to preach or teach men
