"Concerning spiritual gifts"1 Cor. 12:4 (given by the "same spirit") The Holy Spirit.
V.11 "as he will"(Spiritual gifts are given to those that abide in Christ and Christ abides in him).
It is God's will that the man of God, a spiritual man, that is indwelled by the Holy Spirit is given Spiritual gifts. The whole chapter is in this context, addressed to the "brethren". Amen.

What people do not know that the Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit is the same, when a person gets saved, he receives the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, the Bible say in Romans 8:9 Now if a man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His, he abides when you for ever, the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is part of the trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit.

Reply: 12:8 tells us "for to one is given "BY" the Spirit". It is made very clear for one to possess any of the gifts must have the inward dwelling of the Holy Spirit and it's enabling power. A person cannot possess any spiritual gifts without the Holy Spirit that only comes by repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and baptism. The gift(s) are given only by God for mutual benefit of body of Christ.

I have a question...Does one need to be filled with the Holy Ghost to be given a gift? Does the gift only come by receiving the Holy Ghost?
