1:7 Waiting - With earnest desire. For the glorious revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ - A sure mark of a true or false Christian, to long for, or dread, this revelation.

1Co 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift. They were "enriched" by the grace of God (1Co 1:5), so that they were not inferior to other Christians in privileges. Waiting for the coming. They, like other Christians, were eagerly waiting for the return of the Lord to the earth.

That you lose not any gift while waiting on the coming of the Lord. Some will sing like a bird but let envy or jealous come in and lose the crown for this gift but make it to Heaven.
