People's Bible Notes for 1 Corinthians 1:25

1Co 1:25 The foolishness of God. In one thing that men call foolishness, in Christ Crucified, there is greater wisdom than in all the philosophers, and though it seemed weakness of God to let Christ be crucified, yet the Crucified Savior is mightier than all the strength of men. If folly and weakness be of God, these will be wiser and stronger than men.

I would like to comment about 2Corinthians :12 :7-10 when is speaking about the thorn in the flesh. Yes,indeed it is very painful when a person faced adversaries ,opponents who caused pain in life but despite all this God's grace is so sufficient for us.God's unmerrited favor always directed to Children of God.

    V. 18 (For unbelievers the preaching of the cross is foolishness and they will perish.) (For the saved; the preaching of the cross by true God fearing believers it is the power of God.)

(1 Corinthians 1) This is the fruit of the well informed early Church . The Church at Corinth had the Jews who were superstitious, and the Gentiles with their sinfulness. This is what the Apostle Paul had to deal with. As if this wasn't enough, those false teachers stole the peace by undermining Paul's Apostolic influence. This breech is still effectively operating in The Church today. Amen gjp
