People's Bible Notes for 1 Corinthians 1:25

1Co 1:25 The foolishness of God. In one thing that men call foolishness, in Christ Crucified, there is greater wisdom than in all the philosophers, and though it seemed weakness of God to let Christ be crucified, yet the Crucified Savior is mightier than all the strength of men. If folly and weakness be of God, these will be wiser and stronger than men.

God is not impressed with man's wisdom, or personal traits. The Lord takes an interest in those who are despised, frowned upon. Christ came to call sinners to repentance.

The preaching of the cross, "JESUS Christ and Him crucified", causes offense to the merchandisers and the Hypocritical mockers because of the cross. When salt has lost its savor, it is good for nothing and cast away. There is condemnation to those who walk after covetousness, supposing gain is godliness. "professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" and concerning the faith are reprobate.

I would like to comment about 2Corinthians :12 :7-10 when is speaking about the thorn in the flesh. Yes,indeed it is very painful when a person faced adversaries ,opponents who caused pain in life but despite all this God's grace is so sufficient for us.God's unmerrited favor always directed to Children of God.
